This is the place where I’ll share with you the journey towards the publication of my first novel, 'The Misspelled Sky'.
I was one of those kids who only ever wanted to read, write and draw stories. Today, my natural habitat is sitting in the sunshine with a cup of tea, either reading a story or making one up. I’ve studied creative writing at the University of Toronto in Canada. I love words and combing out the tangles of language, which is why I'm a Hansard reporter and editor for my day job.

The Misspelled Sky
A magical adventure story for middle-grade kids (ages 9+)
I’m so excited to see a childhood dream come true when my book comes out next year!
As of mid-2026, the work of writing the book is all finished. It’s now going through some exciting development, including getting its cover art! I can’t wait to share more information as I’m able.
In the meantime, what’s the story about? It follows twelve-year-old Megana, a member of the star-kind race, a special group of people who can make magic through writing. She knows all the rules of writing, including who can learn it and who can’t. But when a stranger steals Megana’s prized book of magical spellings, she must seek help from people she’s overlooked her whole life: rogue writers, misfits and tricksters.
Megana sets off on an adventure to a world of magic she doesn’t trust and hardly even believes. If she can’t find the courage to face the unknown, she may lose more than just a book…
